SoundCity’s best new artiste of the year 2018 and the next big thing in the Nigerian Music industry, Teniola, has come on social media to pen down an emotional tribute to her dad, in honour of his remembrance.
The award-winning act took to her Instagram page and wrote:
APATA GANGA!!!!! ERINLAKATABU!!!!!! Hey daddy your little girl ain’t so little anymore, yah girl is going on tour, yah little Teni is now MAKANAKI, I wish you were here to hear people sing my songs word for word. They thought killing you was the end, but we only just started, we are taking this to the world. And yes, I did it, I graduated from the university. I’m working really hard to make you smile wherever you are. RIP to the bravest man I’ve ever heard of. Bad boy benzy! OGA, philanthropist, soldier, business man, Thank you for all the lives you touched. Love you always till we meet again. “Won ro pe o tan, sugbon olorun so pe o ku, omo laso” OLAOSEBIKAN!!! #UyoMeyo.
Recall that Peruzzi was furious after Teni won the 2018 SoundCity award for best new artiste. He wasn’t please with the award as he took to Twitter to express his disappointment thus:
“Personally I’d say I worked the hardest last year than any other new act, same way I made more money last year than any other new act in the country.
“There’s a way I see myself, it’s my race, there’s a way I’m running it. Focus on yours. Facts over hype. It’s really simple.”
