If you look closely at the state executives who have been nominated and those who nominated them, you will find out they are people who have at one time or another had a running battle with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Depending on the angle you are looking from, the former Lagos governor is the greatest loser in this new political arrangement.

Between Fayemi And Tinubu

Both men have had a history of battles that dates back to the primary election of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State. Tinubu had his preferred candidate for the election while Fayemi, who was then a federal minister did not hide the fact he was riding on federal might to bulldoze his way back to the seat of power he lost to Governor Ayodele Fayose. That battle eventually consumed former APC chairman, John Oyegun.
